The good news of the gospel is that God loves you!
It doesn’t matter what you have done, or where you have been in life – the bible clearly tells us that He loves us in spite of those things. God sent his son Jesus to die for our sins so that the punishment for sin was on him and so that we may have eternal life.
Sin (wrong thoughts, words or actions) separated everybody from God.
God is holy and just, sin cannot live in His presence. If He left us in this state, we would suffer the penalty of sin which is death and eternal separation from God.
“The wages of the righteous is life, but the earnings of the wicked are sin and death.” Proverbs 10:16
The bible tells us that ‘All of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God’.
Separation from him was not God’s intention for us. He wants us to be restored back to him turning away from sin and living as his righteous sons and daughters.
God provided the answer by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross on our behalf
Only a sinless person could pay the price (the judgement) for our sin.
None of us were sinless, it took God in human form (Jesus) to pay for our sins on our behalf. He loves us so much that He died in our place. So that we could experience eternal life with Him.
Jesus did not stay in the grave. He rose again and is in heaven with the Father (God).
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
What do I need to do to receive this life?
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
Are you ready to receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, to turn from your old life, separated from God?
Romans 10:13 says, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out……And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:37
If you would like to be saved and commit your life to Christ you can pray right now.
Pray: Father, I recognise that I have lived my life without You and I am sorry. I ask you for Your forgiveness for everything in my path that hurt others, myself, or separated me from You. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, raised from the dead and I ask Him into my heart and my life right now. I choose to live my life for and with You God. Amen.
